Stoaked Triathlon
On August 8th and 9th, Storrs Pond was proud to host the Xterra Stoaked Offroad Triathlon.
On Saturday, about 75 people competed in the standard race. They started from the main beach with a 0.5 mile swim to the Tom Byrne Pavilion Beach, then an 8.5 km bike ride on the Oak Hill trails. They ended with a 3.5 km trail run around Storrs Pond.
On Sunday, just over 100 people competed in the Xterra race, starting with a 1 km swim from the main beach, then a 17 km trail ride, and 7 km trail run.
Congratulations to all the competitors!

New Paint for Bath House
On July 15, about 30 volunteers from Hanover’s Christ Redeemer Church repainted the Storrs Pond bath house. They donated all the paint and labor. This was all part of their community service program, and they donated about 800 hours in all.
Thanks very much for the fresh coat of paint!
