Here are the results from last week’s Fiddlehead Five over the Roller Coaster trail. It was a great afternoon for a run and we had a record number of runners participate: 48!

This was thanks to the Elm City Track Club from Keene, NH which had 36 high school runners. It was great to see such a competitive field out on the course.

Next week we have scheduled an additional Fiddlehead Five (same time, same place) and we will be running the Hanover High School course. It is about 3 miles and uses some of the Roller Coaster trail. It’s scenic and challenging! We hope to have several high school teams on hand. No charge for adults for this event.

Storrs Pond will be hosting the swimming and trail running parts of the Stoaked  off road triathlon this weekend. The trail run starts on Saturday at 10 am, and the regular triathlon starts from the Storrs Pond beach at 1 pm.  The kids triathlon starts at 4 pm.  On the Sunday, the XTerra race starts at 9 am with a 1 km swim in Storrs Pond. Storrs Pond is proud to announce Wiffle Ball ’10.  The Wiffle Ball event of the summer takes place on Sunday, August 15 at the Main Area on the official SPRA Wiffle Ball field.  Wiffle Ball ’10 is open to all ages and abilities.  You may register as an individual and we will place you on a team or you can register as a team.  Each team will consist of four players and each team is guaranteed at least two games.  The cost is $2 per player or $8 per team.  To register contact the SPRA office at 603-643-2134.  First pitch is 11 am.

Here are the results from the Roller Coaster 5K run. It was a hot afternoon, but none the less, the times were fast! We also had a good group with 29 runners. Next week will be the Roller Coaster 5K run. Hope to see you then!
