VINS Nature Day Camps
For the 2026 season, the Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) is once again providing its classic children’s nature camp programs at Storrs Pond Recreation Area! VINS offers the following programs at Storrs Pond – Area 5:
Fledglings, for children entering grades 1-3:
- Habitat Hunters June 29 – July 3rd
- Water, Water Everywhere June 29 – July 3rd
- Art in the Wild July 6 – July 10th
- Water, Water Everywhere July 6 – July 10th
- Woodland Scouts July 27 – July 31st
Falcons, for children entering grades 4 – 6:
- Aqua Ventures June 29- July 3rd
- Survival Adventures July 6 – July 10th
- C.S.I. – Countryside Investigators July 27 – July 31st
Each session will be held from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm daily, Monday through Thursday, and from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm on Friday. Vins will offer an Extended Day option until 5:30 pm each camp day.
Camp group will meet at Area 5 Pavilion at Storrs Pond Recreation Area.

Coyote Hill Mountain Bike Camp
Coyote Hill Mountain Bike Day Camp is excited to be back at Storrs Pond for the summer of 2026. Day campers will learn the basics of mountain biking and bike maintenance. The camps emphasize fun and include games, swimming, and much more. Campers aged 8-12 with all ability levels are welcome. No early drop-offs, please!
The 2026 dates are:
June 22 – June 26, for campers aged 11-13 (Byrne Pavilion)
June 29 – July 3, for campers aged 8-10 (Byrne Pavilion)
July 13 – 17, for campers aged 8-10 (Area 5 Pavilion)
